- Backyard Cinema Dry Hire Agreement
- 1. Dry Hire
- “Dry Hire” refers to the hire of equipment to the Hirer, who is responsible for operating and supervising the equipment for the duration of the hire period.
- The cinema equipment is provided for self-operation and is best suited to Hirers who are reasonably comfortable using technology. Projectors and associated equipment may occasionally require basic troubleshooting.
- Luxury Bell Events does not provide a specific catalogue of movies or other content. The Firestick includes a range of pre-installed or available applications. To access paid streaming services, such as Netflix or Disney+, the Hirer must have their own active subscription and login credentials.
- 2. Hirer Responsibilities
- The Hirer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
- All equipment will be thoroughly tested by Luxury Bell Events prior to hire.
- A reliable Wi-Fi connection is essential.
- A suitable power source must be available within 20 metres of the setup area. If the required distance exceeds 20 metres, the Hirer must provide additional extension cables that are appropriately tagged, tested and suitable for outdoor use.
- The Hirer assumes full responsibility for the equipment from the commencement of the hire period until its return or collection.
- The Hirer is responsible for the actions and omissions of all guests and other persons using or accessing the equipment during the hire period.
- The Hirer must take reasonable care of all equipment and ensure it is protected from damage, weather, food, drinks and other hazards.
- Food and beverages must be kept away from the projector, screen and all other electrical equipment.
- Flames, candles and other sources of heat or fire must not be placed near the equipment. Fire pits must be positioned at least 10 metres away from the equipment.
- In the event of rain, all equipment must be moved indoors or kept undercover in a safe, dry location.
- 3. End-of-Hire Requirements
- At the conclusion of the hire period, the Hirer must ensure that:
- The projector is switched off and unplugged.
- The projector screen is fully deflated and packed into the container provided.
- All cords, remotes and accessories are returned to the appropriate containers.
- All equipment is stored in a secure, dry and undercover location.
- Equipment is protected from rain, moisture, food, beverages and other potential sources of damage.
- Failure to follow these requirements may result in the Hirer being liable for any resulting damage or additional cleaning, repair or replacement costs.
- 4. Damage and Loss
- The Hirer is responsible for the equipment throughout the rental period.
- If any equipment is lost, missing, damaged, or returned in a defective condition, Luxury Bell Events reserves the right to charge the Hirer for any reasonable costs required to repair, or restore the equipment to a condition suitable for future hire.
- Where an item is lost, missing or damaged beyond economical repair, the Hirer will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the item, including any reasonable delivery costs associated with replacing equipment.
- 4. Weather and Safety
- Outdoor cinema equipment is subject to weather conditions.
- Luxury Bell Events reserves the right to determine whether conditions are suitable for setup and operation. High winds, rain or other adverse weather conditions may make setup or continued use of the equipment unsafe.
- Where weather conditions require a booking to be rescheduled or cancelled, Luxury Bell Events will work with the Hirer to determine the most appropriate solution.
- If Luxury Bell Events determines, at its discretion, that setup is not appropriate or safe for any reason, the Agreement may be terminated. In such circumstances, payment will be refunded to the Hirer, and the Hirer agrees that they will have no further claim against Luxury Bell Events arising from the cancellation or termination.
- 5. Rescheduling
- Customers are able to reschedule their booking up to 48 hours prior.
- 6. Payments, Bonds and Additional Terms
-
- A $300 refundable security and damages bond is payable in additional to the costs of hire. This bond will be returned within 7 business days.
- If you have any questions or experience any issues during your hire, please contact Luxury Bell Events directly on 0426 292 279.
